In the late 1980’s, The Roode Vallei Country Lodge, located a few minutes north of Pretoria, opened its doors to the public for strategic conferencing and private weddings. Now two decades later this highly regarded establishment has recently acquired a new management company - reputable Faircity Hotels.

Roode Vallei Country Lodge is positioned on the banks of the Pienaar’s River and is in close proximity to the Roode Plaat Dam. Nestled amidst a bushveld nature reserve and bird sanctuary, the charming thatched roofed establishment creates an inviting ambience on the slopes of the Magaliesburg Mountains.

The Lodge boasts eight conference rooms and three smaller break away rooms that are named after birds that frequent the sanctuary. These range in size from 48m² to 221m² and are all equipped with air-conditioners, screens and standard conferencing equipment. In addition the entire establishment enjoys 24 hour security and CCTV surveillance as well as generator power back-up and microwave telecommunications.

“Roode Vallei is professionally staffed and equipped and has in-house conference coordinators that provide specialized and personalized services, to corporate customers,” says Lange. “In addition, our unique outdoor teambuilding activities have proven immensely popular and successful amongst many corporate groups.”

On the wedding front, the magnificent trees and beautiful gardens create a terrific backdrop for every bride’s wedding dream. Intimate weddings for 60 guests as well as lavish gatherings for 150 guests can be accommodated at Roode Vallei. Wedding exclusivity is guaranteed and only one wedding, thus one bride will be accommodated on any given day.

The comfortable Roode Vallei ‘home-away-from-home’ bedrooms are furnished with rustic and wooden furniture and several accommodation options are available that include Thatch Rooms, Riverside Rooms, Garden Rooms and regular Hotel Rooms.

Over the years Roode Vallei Country Lodge has also become well known by its customers for the generous country style buffets that are prepared by the restaurant kitchen and staff. “Our kitchen offers a wide variety of dishes that cater for both simple and elegant occasions and our Executive Chef ensures superb taste whilst simultaneously delivering excellent quality,” says Lange.
